Our laser Doppler vibrometers set new standards in vibration analysis. Thanks to the non-contact measurement principle, even the finest movements and vibrations can be recorded with the highest precision. Whether in the automotive, aerospace or medical technology industries, our solutions are versatile and meet the highest metrological requirements.

Thanks to the combination of state-of-the-art laser sources and interferometer technologies, measurements can be performed on a wide variety of surfaces and under demanding conditions. The result: reliable data for informed decisions in research, development and quality assurance.

The SMART series: one solution, many possibilities

Within our portfolio, the SMART series is a groundbreaking product line that combines the entire laboratory in a compact device. The modular SMART product system combines various functions in a compact housing and is ideal for anyone looking for highly precise and user-friendly solutions in vibration measurement technology.

The SMART series offers numerous models, including the SMART Single+, Scan+, 3D-Scan and many more. With a wide range of vibration analysis functions, each device in the series enables the precise measurement and analysis of dynamic properties of materials and components. The innovative system concept and the modularity of the product system allow you to customize your measurement technology – perfect for NVH analysis and many other applications.

SWIR scanning vibrometer in action

Our colleague and Sales Engineer Tobias Schröder explains the measurement on an electronics board, frequently called PCB. A shaker is used to excite this PCB broadband, i.e., at different frequencies. We measure and analyze the boards vibrations to detect resonances and locate vibration nodes.

What is the purpose of all this? It is used to detect areas with large vibration amplitudes on the PCB. With this knowledge, electronic components can be placed so that they are outside the critical zone.

Versatile solutions for every challenge

Optomet offers both single-point and scanning laser vibrometers that can be flexibly adapted to your specific measurement requirements. With sampling rates up to 312.5 MSamples/s and fully digital signal processing on advanced FPGAs, our systems guarantee an unbeatable dynamic range and the highest signal quality under all conditions.

Whether you need to measure the smallest structures or large-scale vibration phenomena, our technology adapts to your needs.

Flexibility and modularity in vibrometry

Optomet stands for flexibility and precision in vibration measurement technology like no other company. With our fiber vibrometers and the unrivaled dual-fiber technology for the best signal level, we expand your possibilities. With separate fiber heads, measurements can also be carried out under extreme conditions such as in vacuum chambers, clean rooms or in the presence of ionizing radiation. This technology offers you flexibility and ensures the highest signal quality, even in challenging environments.

Nova-Xtra: Vibrational measurement of a bridge

Our Nova-Xtra enables measurements over distances of 300 meters. The invisible SWIR laser ensures the best signal strength. An optional IR-Camera allows for visualizing and locating the laser spot on the object.

The ideal application of the Nova-Xtra is in the aerospace industry and in civil engineering where the Nova-Xtra can be used to detect distant vibrations on buildings or bridges.
